These clinics will be followed by Levi’s Ranch Roping which is touted as the “Poorest Ranch Roping in the World,” a title that we are proud of. Contact Kim Ewalt at 541-821-0422 or kim.ewalt1@fgmail.com for more information.
This clinic will be taught on horseback with wooden roping apparatuses (?) also known as roping dummies. The goal is to learn the basic ranch roping shots, the fundamentals of dallying, and dragging a log on your horse. Please note: this clinic does not involve live cattle. The cost is $100/rider. Auditors pay $40. Lunch will be available for $10/each. And you’re welcome to tip the cook! For more information, contact Gabby at butchershop@me.com.
This is the second of our winter 2025 Horsemanship Clinics that we are planning in Agua Dulce CA. As usual, Pat will be focusing on teaching people to ride with more body and less hand with the emphasis on collection and self carriage. Pat’s clinics are open to riders of all disciplines and all levels. We only take 5 riders so we can spend quality time with each student. The morning is spent with the riders working through a number of exercises with their horses. In the afternoon, Pat works with each horse and rider individually while the other riders observe. In most cases, Pat rides all of the horses so that the riders can see their horses working through exercises they might be having problems with.
